- The Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska is soliciting bids from qualified General Contractors for the construction of a Drug Dependency Unit (DDU) in Winnebago, Nebraska. The DDU will be a 19,208 square foot, 2-story building connected to the existing Winnebago Comprehensive Health Care Facility, along with a separate 2,533 square foot ambulance garage. The work includes concrete, masonry, wood framing, EDPM and metal roofing, doors, windows, finishes, and hydraulic elevator. The estimated construction cost for the facility is between $3 and $5 million. The period of performance of the contract will be a maximum of 330 calendar days after notice to proceed. The bid documents will be available on Thursday, July 5, 2007 at the office of the Architect, Leo A Daly at 8600 Indian Hills Dr., Omaha, NE 68114, Telephone (402) 391-8111, Fax (402) 391-8564. One copy may be obtained upon deposit of $250 and additional sets paid for at current rates of reproduction. This procurement is funded under an Indian Self-Determination Act contract between the Indian Health Service and the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska. The procurement and subsequent contract award to a General Contractor will be solely conducted and administered by the Winnebago Tribe. Bids will be received by Mr. Ronald Nohr, Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska, at Tribal Council Chambers, Highway 77, Tribal Administration Building, Blackhawk Center, Winnebago, Nebraska; until 2:00 o'clock p.m. local time, Tuesday, August 2, 2007. A pre-bid conference will be conducted at 10:00 a.m., local time, on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at the Winnebago Comprehensive Health Care Facility at the intersection of Highways 75 & 77, Winnebago, Nebraska.
