- Solicitation AG-4870-S-07-0006 is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). RFPs should be submitted in writing or email. No faxes will be accepted. The synopsis will run for 15 days beginning June 26, 2007. The solicitation will be posted to FBO beginning July 11, 2007 and run until Monday, July 30, 2007. This acquisition is for construction. Land Between The Lakes (LBL) National Recreation Area (NRA) is a designated National Recreation Area under the management of USDA Forest Service. This solicitation will for the blasting and painting of the Elk and Bison Prairie Corral containing approximately 15,000 square feet of steel pipe and structural steel tubing, which are covered by plate steel in some locations. This facility is used to handle, herd, and sort elk and bison located at LBL. The estimated cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. An organized site visit will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 10 AM Central Time at the Elk and Bison Prairie Corral (located approximately 1 mile north of the Trace and 68/80 intersection). The entrance to the corral is directly across from the Jenny Ridge Picnic Area. To attend the meeting, please contact Glen S. The contract is being issued and performance will commence 30 days after notice to proceed with completion 60 days after notice to proceed. This solicitation is being set aside 100% for small business. Offers must be received at the Administrative Office, USDA Forest Service, Land Between The Lakes NRA, 100 Van Morgan Drive, Golden Pond, KY 42211 no later than 4:30 PM CDT on Monday, July 30, 2007. The government anticipates award on or about August 6, 2007. All responsible small business sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the agency. Award will be made to the offeror whose proposal offers the best value to the government (price and other factors considered). This shall be based on a proposal analysis where past performance when combined with management/technical is approximately equal to price. Should you have any questions please contact Glen S.
