Description
United States Government Seeks Sources for Leased Office and Related Space In Ames, IA REQUIREMENT: The General Services Administration is seeking to lease prestigious office and related space consisting of approximately 4,665 rentable square feet. The rentable square feet must yield 4,058 to 4,260 ANSI/BOMA Office area square feet. The office space must be contiguous and located on the ground floor. Structural support columns shall be at least 20 feet, center to center from any interior wall and from each other, and be no more than two-feet square. There must be a minimum of 18 employee/customer parking spaces within a 2-block radius from offered space, at reasonable commercial rates. On-site parking is preferred. Restricted or metered parking of one hour or less does not meet the parking requirement. Handicap parking shall be 1/2 block from accessible entrance. Locations within 2-blocks of the current bus line (including limited service lines) will be considered most advantageous to the Government. CyRide stated they may be willing to reconfigure a bus line if advantageous to transportation needs. Both existing space and new construction will be considered. However, if new construction is being proposed then the new site must allow for a minimum 20 foot setback from any public access area. The space must be fully serviced and altered to meet the Federal Government's requirements for fire and life safety and handicap accessibility. TENANT: Social Security Administration LOCATION: Offered properties must be located within the following delineated area: City of Ames, Iowa LEASE TERM: The proposed rental term shall be ten (10) years, seven (7) years firm. OCCUPANCY: Space must be ready for occupancy no later than December 1, 2008 Owners, brokers, or agents may offer space for consideration. Any properties submitted by brokers or agents must be accompanied by written evidence that they are authorized by the ownership to exclusively represent the building offered.
