Description

On-site operation and maintenance of the Government-owned Document Shredder System located at the Memphis Internal Revenue Service Center (MIRSC), Memphis, TN. The shredder system includes: heavy-duty industrial shredder SEM Model No.A5010, the AMS-T2 Tipper and the 400 Series Bale master Baler. The contractor will be responsible for shredding and disposing of designated paper trash for the MIRSC and its annex offices. Services include the development and implementation of contractor?s approved recycling program. Recyclable items include office paper, wooden pallets, computer tapes, microfilm cartridges, toner cartridges, cardboard, and any other material deemed recyclable in the future. The contract term is expected to cover a 12 month base period beginning on or about 10/01/07, plus four 12-month renewal options. The solicitation is expected to be available on or about 08/08/07, and will be posted electronically at the website www.irs.gov/opportunities/index.html. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. See Number Note 1.
