- The Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City (NSWC PC) intends to award a sole source cost plus fixed fee contract to Lockheed Martin Maritime Systems and Sensors (LM MS&S), 497 Electronics Parkway, Liverpool, NY 13088 for engineering support services to develop potential design changes to the AN/WLD-1(V)1 Remote Minehunting System to support integration and test of the system onboard the Littoral Combat SHIP (LCS) class ships. The period of performance of the contract will be one year from date of award. This effort will entail development of detailed 3-D models, design and analysis, and drawing updates and will require Subject Matter Expertise to provide distance and on-site RMS on LCS integration aboard LCS-1 and LCS-2. This acquisition is unsuitable for full and open competition for the following reason. Performance of this effort will require an in-depth unique knowledge of the designs of RMS, its Remote Minehunting Vehicle (RMV), and its launch, recovery and ca pture system. Lockheed Martin is the original developer and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for the AN/WLD-1(V)1. As such Lockheed Martin is uniquely qualified to provide the required engineering support services for potential system design modifications. NAICS 334511 FSC AC30.
