Description
The proposed contract listed here is 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET ASIDE. The Government will only accept offers from small business concerns. This procurement is being advertised for one solicitation resulting in the award of one combination firm-fixed price and indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast, Public Works Department Charleston is presently seeking services for Pest Control at the Naval Weapons Station Charleston, SC. The NAICS Code for this solicitation is 561710, Solid Waste Collection. The Small Business Size Standard is $6,500,000.00. The scope of work includes all labor, management, supervision, tools, material, and equipment required to perform pest control services at NWS Charleston, SC ? SE REG, Recreation Facility ?Short Stay? Moncks Corner, SC, various tenant commands, and other Federal Government Facilities located in Charleston and Berkeley counties. Pest control services include preventing and controlling unwanted vegetation and invasive plants, and nuisance, structural, lawn, ornamental, medical arthropod and vertebrae pests, including but not limited to cockroaches, termites, ants, fleas, silverfish, stored product pests, mosquitoes, mice, rats, bats, feral dogs and cats, and other vertebrates, bees, wasps, pigeons, and nuisance birds. Offers shall be submitted to perform work for a period of one (1) year. The Government has the option to extend the term of the contract services for additional periods of one to twelve months, with a total duration not to exceed 60 months. If the Government does not award a follow-on contract in time, the Government may require the Contractor to continue performance for an additional period up to six months under the Option to Extend Services clause. In either case, the Government will not synopsize the options when exercised. The solicitation utilizes source selection procedures which require offerors to submit a technical and price proposal for evaluation by the Government. Offerors must also be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database with a DUNS number in order to participate in this procurement. Offerors can view and/or download the solicitation at http://esol.navfac.navy.mil/ when it becomes available. All interested offerors shall register at the website. No notice of solicitation activity will be provided to interested offerors. The Government intends to issue the Request for Proposal, RFP, electronically by posting it on the NAVFAC website, on or around July 10, 2007. Proposals will be due on or around August 9, 2007.
