Description
The Portland District Corps of Engineers, Portland District intends to award a solicitation for Columbia River Channel Improvement (CRCI) Phase III Dredging. This dredging project includes new work for the improvement of the Columbia River from Rive r Mile 67+00 to approximately River Mile 91+00. Disposal of new work material from River Mile 67+00 to River Mile 91+00 will be located at designated in-water flow lanes and upland site. The Contractor shall be required to commence work at any time after Notice to Proceed (NTP) to prosecute the work diligently and complete the work not later than 400 calendar days after issuance of NTP. A Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO) shall be provided for all new contracts with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District. For this project, the person that will act as the SSHO is required to have a minimum of 3 years safety work with simil ar projects and a 30 Hour OSHA construction safety class, or equivalent, taken within the last 3 years. The SSHO may have no other duties for this work except function as the on-site CQC Manager. A preliminary draft copy of the solicitation is available fo r review and comment. Each posting will be taken into consideration by the Government and a response will be posted at the end of the review period. The finalized solicitation will be issued on or about 03 July 2007 with proposals due 30 days after issue. T his procurement is open to both small and large business concerns and is a best value procurement. The magnitude of construction for this solicitation is between $25,000,000.00 and $100,000,000.00. Evaluation criteria will be included in the solicitation.
