Description
Description: Contractor will provide a turn-key solution for Patient Ceiling Lifts for a No-Lift Or Zero Back Injury Program. Turn-key is defined as procuring the equipment, delivery of equipment, installation of equipment in accordance with the manufacturers installation instructions/specifications, coordination with manufacturer for staff training on equipment, and coordination with manufacturer for warranty and service issues. Installation will require close coordination with the equipment manufacturer and includes track mounted lifts and traversing units for powered and manual operation. A mandatory pre-solicitation conference will be held in Durham, NC on June 28, 2007 for all qualified contractors so that the scope and magnitude of the project can be conveyed. Site visits to all eight medical centers will need to be coordinated after the pre-solicitation conference. Magnitude of Project: This project will include eight VA Medical Centers located throughout North Carolina, Virginia and Beckley, WV. Lifts will be installed in the Long-Term Care Wards, Med/Surg Wards and Intensive Care Units. VISN 6 anticipates this project will take a minimum of two years to complete with follow-on work for scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance. Important Information: A mandatory presolicitation conference will be held in Durham, NC on June 28, 2007. Details on time and place for the conference will be to all qualified vendors interested in this project. Please call David Horne, VISN 6 Equipment Specialist, at 919-956-5541. Currently a total set-aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms is anticipated. However, if response by Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business firms proves inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be determined. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238290 ($13 million). Notice to Potential Offerors: All Offerors who provide goods or services to the United States Federal Government must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR located on the web at www.ccr.gov). It is desirable that any offeror to have completed their business Online Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA). Additionally, all Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses who respond to a solicitation on this project must be registered with the Department of Veterans Affairs Center for Veterans Enterprise VetBiz Registery located at http://vip.vetbiz.gov.
