Description
The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for Dry Dock and Repair of the USCGC BOLLARD (WYTL-65614), a 65 foot harbor tug. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about June 26, 2007 at http://www.fbo.gov/. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. The NAICS code is 336611. The acquisition will be solicited as a Small Business Set-Aside. The homeport of the vessel is NEW HAVEN, CT. All work will be preformed at the contractor?s facility. The performance period will be (21) calendar days with a start date on or about JULY 16, 2007. The scope of the acquisition is for dry docking and repairs to the USCGC BOLLARD (WYTL-65614) including but not limited to the following Base and Option items: (1) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft (2) Straighten Shaft (3) Renew Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings (4) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller (5) Perform Minor repairs and Reconditioning of Propeller (6) Routine Drydocking (7) Provide Temp Logistics (8) Ultrasonic Thickness Measurements (9) Inspect and Renew Hull and Frames Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. The following Geographic Restrictions applies to the USCGC BOLLARD (WYTL-65614): to travel no further than 144 Nautical Miles from vessels home pier on navigable waterways and no further than 10 Nautical Miles off shore. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are no longer available in hardcopy.
