- Description
- The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services intends to award under Simplified Acquisition Procedures on a Sole Source basis to Carolyn Mullen. The contractor shall assist CMS staff in learning and acquiring proficiency in updating the Relative Value Unit updates for physician work and practice expense and developing the 5 year review process for updating practice expense inputs to the Physician Fee Schedule (PFS). Since this is the first time that the experienced person to assist in developing the approach to that review. The contractor must have served as the focal point in developing the methods for identifying inputs, pricing supplies, gathering salary data, etc. The contractor must have attended Relative Value Units Update Committee, Practice Expense Review Committee, and PEAC meetings where the values for the RVUs and PE inputs are refined. The contractor must have expertise and leadership qualities will be crucial to the successful continuation of these efforts and in training staff in any new procedures that may be developed as a result of the PE 5-year review process being developed. All responsible sources may submit capability statements, which shall be considered by the agency in accordance with the requirements in the synopsis.
