Description
THE PROPOSED CONTRACT ACTION IS FOR SUPPLIES OR SERVICES FOR WHICH THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE WITH ONLY ONE SOURCE UNDER THE AUTHORITY OF FAR 6.302. INTERESTED PERSONS MAY IDENTIFY THEIR INTEREST AND CAPABILITY TO RESPOND TO THE REQUIREMENT OR SUBMIT PROPOSALS. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. HOWEVER, ALL PROPOSALS RECEIVED WITHIN 15 DAYS AFTER DATE OF PUBLICATION OF THIS SYNOPSIS WILL BE CONSIDERED BY THE GOVERNMENT. THIS IS A SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION WITH AN ESTIMATED VALUE OF LESS THAN $100,000. The of NOAA Northwest Regional Office located in Seattle, WA intends to acquire services from the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe to operate and maintain an imaging-sonar unit. The unit is a 900KHz imaging-sonar unit in the lower Elwha River used to assess the feasibility of counting Chinook salmon. Management of these systems will require regular checks of the hardware and software as well as downloading, organizing, storing, and disseminating information collected by this system. The Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe will 1) assist with the site selection within the Elwha river, 2) assist with sonar installation, 3) perform basic maintenance and operation of the sonar, and 4) collect, store, and disseminate data from the sonar. The period of performance is from July 9, 2007 through 31 December, 2008. Because the Lower Elwha Klallam Tribe owns this property, any other contractor would have to negotiate access. All responses must be in writing and may be faxed to (206) 526-6025 attention to Mona Ash. ****The Western Regional Acquisition Division, requires that all contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR).
