Description
Brinkmann Karl Fischer Apparatus with Accessories, Solicitation No. 2007-7B31-1000: The USDA, ARS, MSA, Southern Regional Research Center, New Orleans, Louisiana intends to procure a Brinkmann Karl Fischer Apparatus with Accessories. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items identified below, prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 2007-7B31-1000 is being issued as an Invitation for Bid. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. Offerors are to provide a bid for the following: Equipment Specifications: The acquisition of the Brinkmann Karl Fischer will give us the opportunity to measure moisture in cotton in a hermetically sealed sample vessel, oven sample automation processor is manufactured by Brinkmann Instruments, Inc. The research will allow the development of a modern reference method to determine the moisture in cotton. Required Features: The acquisition of this instrument will give us the opportunity to measure moisture in cotton by Karl Fischer Titration which is manufactured by Brinkmann Instruments, Inc. The research will allow the development of a modern reference method to determine the moisture in cotton. The cotton samples are transferred into vials directly from where they are taken and hermetically sealed. The use of a hermetically sealed sample vessel guarantees content and unadulterated water content. (1) Brinkmann Instruments Inc. (BII) Part 20-84-100-1, Model 841 Titrando KF Touch. (11) BII Part 20-24-371-6, Cable Mettler AX XS AB. (12) BII Part 19100006, Hydranal Composite 6 x 1L. (13) BII Part 19101053, Standard 10.0 mg/mL 6 x 80mL. All systems and components shall be provided with a one (1) year warranty from the date of installation. The warranty shall cover all system parts against manufacturing defect or failure during normal service. Warranty shall cover service labor and travel. ALL RESPONSIBLE SOURCES MAY SUBMIT A BID FOR CONSIDERATION. Bid prices shall include all necessary labor, parts, materials, and transportation necessary to delivered FOB Destination a multifunctional scanner to USDA, ARS, MSA, SRRC, New Orleans, La. This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text.
