Description
AMENDMENT #4 T - TECHNICAL PHOTOCOPY/ELECTROSTATIC REPRODUCTION AND MICROFILM REPRODUCTION SUPPORT SERVICES The purpose of this Amendment is to answer the questions stated below. All questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer via email at donita.hood@nara.gov not later than COB Thursday, June 21, 2007. QUESTION: Page 40 of the RFP under section 2.3 states: "Oversize documents....up to at least 49" x 29" at Archives I and 40" x 24" at Archives II"- does this mean a 35mm Microfilm camera is required at each location? ANSWER: Oversized copies refer to copies of oversized paper documents; this is not related to microfilm. QUESTION: Does NARA require any documents to be filmed on 16mm microfilm cameras? If so-will the vendor be responsible for providing a single or multiple 16 mm cameras? ANSWER: NARA has a several 16mm cameras onsite at AI; however, currently, the requests for 16mm file reproduction is zero. QUESTION: Please list the make and model number of the current 35mm microfilm camera being used. ANSWER: Omina OK300E Microfilm Camera QUESTION: Please provide annual estimates for the following: ANSWER: *Number of 16mm microfilm rolls that require processing - zero *Number of 35mm microfilm rolls that require processing - 90,000 images (this fluctuates) - 95 rolls *Number of 16mm and 35mm microfilm rolls that require duplication - cannot provide at the moment *Silver of Diazo dupes *How many duplicates per roll The main focus of this contract will be paper to paper copies. Microfilm is definitely secondary to paper to paper. QUESTION: Is the contractor responsible for the digital media (CD or DVD? ANSWER: NARA will provide the media for which the images will be burned. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for an 8(a) competitive acquisition. Under the proposed contract, the contractor shall supply all equipment, personnel, and other resources necessary to provide technical photocopy/electrostatic reproduction and microfilm reproduction support services at National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) facilities located in College Park, Maryland and in Washington DC in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS). This is a 100% 8(a) set-aside acquisition. The NAICS code and small business size standard are 323114 and 500 (number of employees). This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP). Prospective offerors shall request a copy of the solicitation from this office not later than June 7, 2007 by contacting the Contracting Officer. Questions must be submitted to the Contracting Officer not later than COB June 21, 2007. Anticipated period of performance is September 4, 2007 through September 3, 2008 plus four (4) 12-month option periods. Proposals must be recieved at National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), Acquisition Services Division (NAA), ATTN: Donita Hood, 8601 Adelphi Road, Room 3340, College Park, MD 20740-6001 by June 29, 2007, 12:00 p.m. EST.
