Description
This information is for Request for Quotation (RFQ), SPM1C107Q0435. This is for the purchase of TROUSERS, MENS, COAST GUARD, SHADE 3362. The applicable NSN for this procurement is 8405-01-113-3453. The military specification is MIL-T-87047A dated 20 January 1987. The pattern date is 26 June 1990. The purchase quantity is 3,525 pairs. The production lead time is 90 days after the date of award. The destination for this item is Peckham Vocational Industries Inc., a depot in Lansing, MI. The solicitation will be issued as a Total Small Business Set-Aside that will result in a firm fixed price contract. All materials used in the fabrication of the end item are to be furnished by the contractor with exception of the basic fabric (Cloth, Poly/Wool Serge, Coast Guard, Shade 3362), which will be provided as GFM. This cloth is 60 inches wide and the NSN is 8305-01-113-3451. The Government does not intend to use FAR part 12 for this acquisition. Reference Numbered Notes 1, 9, and 26. The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as The Berry Amendment) impose restrictions on the DoDs acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014), including the materials and components thereof (other than sensors, electronics, or other items added to, and not normally associated with clothing), must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
