- NAICS Code: 541710 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to Affymetrix , Inc., 3420 Central Expressway, Santa Clara, CA 95051 for the acquisition of Affymetrix Arrays. These Arrays are designed to be used with the existing Affymetrix Instrument System that is located at EPA. Future experiments at EPA will generate data to be compared with existing Affymeterix data sets at EPA. Consistency in platform comparison is critical to genomic scientific mission at EPA. The research application of Affymetrix Arrays requires that the chip be scanned on the Affymetrix Scanner 3000. The image is displayed on a screen connected to the scanner and analog software generates a density number for each gene, to be used in the analysis. The resource of detailed analysis is deemed critical to establishing the use of technology in our laboratories and adapting the analysis protocols to specific research applications. A has identified Affymetrix Inc., The only vendor capable of choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFQ will be ignored. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
