- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at https://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. NUWCDiv. Newport intends to issue a solicitation set aside for small business for 3 ea. Hydrophone Arrays. The arrays shall be cut for 1 kHz. Specifications: The array shall consist of 16 elements spaced 75 cm apart; the array elements shall have a minimum sensitivity of -195dB; the array shall be housed in a plastic tube approximately 1.25? in diameter; the array shall be filled with an inert fluid and neutrally buoyant; the array preamplifiers shall be house din the array; preamplifiers shall provide 26 dB of signal gain, assume 12V power is available, output shall be +-2.5V or +-5V; the array shall have a single cable connection containing 16 analog differential channel pairs and power connections, there shall be an 11 meter cable length leading out of the array proper with no termination (bare wires); the array may be configured with a small drogue; each array elements shall be tested to insure proper sensitivity, gain, and output voltage. Delivery shall be 60 days after award. The solicitation will not be released earlier than 25 June 2007. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
