- This synopsis provides a draft solicitation with attendant attachments. This synopsis is issued in anticipation of a possible future procurement program planned for later this summer. Whether this solicitation is released or not is dependant on the responses we receive in response to this draft solicitation. The Government requests comments on the draft solicitation and associated attachments. Of primary concern is the ability of industry to meet the solicitation requirements within the not-to-exceed amounts identified in Section B of the RFP. Comments on other aspects of the solicitation are also requested. Responses should include: (a) The name and address of the contractor and where the vessel would be built; (b) Point of contact including name, title, phone, and email addresses; and (c) Whether the business is currently classified as a Large, Small, Small Disadvantaged, 8(a) and/or Woman Owned company, Hub Zone small business, veteran owned small business, or service disabled veteran owned small business. (d) Also address whether or not your firm can or cannot meet the solicitation requirements within the stipulated not-to-exceed amounts. If any of these not-to-exceed amounts cannot be met, please explain why. In addition, please provide any recommendations that would allow performance within the stated not-to-exceed amounts. Also indicate the necessary increase to the not-to-exceed amounts needed to meet the requirements as presently stated in the solicitation and its attendant attachments. Note that the not-to-exceed amounts are individual, not cumulative. (e) Provide other comments concerning the solicitation and indicate whether your firm is interested in this project either as currently presented, or provided that the changes indicated by your firm are included in the solicitation. No telephone inquiries will be accepted and requests for solicitation packages will not be honored, as a final solicitation is not prepared at this time. When to submit: ON OR BEFORE 10 JULY 2007.
