Description
This project requires labor, material, and equipment to replace pumps and pump sites at Browns Park, National Wildlife Refuge (NWR) located in the northwestern section of the state of Colorado near the Utah-Colorado stateline near the town of Maybell, CO.The Base Item consists of three (3) pump stations (Spitzie, Hog Lake, and Hoy), Additive Item 1 consists of the Nelson pump station, Additive Item 2 consists of the Butch Cassidy pump station, and Additive Item 3 consists of extending electrical to the Butch Cassidy pump station. Effort includes, but is not limited to, clearing and grubbing, demolition, earthwork, gravel surfacing, timber bulkheads, riprap, concrete metal work, steel piping, PVC piping, corrugated metal piping, slide gates, pumps (including controls and electrical hookup), and surveying. Offerors are required to provide pricing for all items on the Pricing Schedule in order to be considered for award. Site visit arrangements can be made with the Project Leader Lee Albright or the On-Site Inspector Kip Christiansen both at 970-365-3614. The period of performance is 160 calendar days due to the lead time for delivery of these types of pumps. Liquidated damages in the amount of $196 per day will be applicable. The applicable NAICS code is 237990. The magnitude of this project - base and additives is between $250,000 and $500,000. The small business size standard is $31M. This solicitation is open to both small and large businesses. Unrestricted, full and open competition. Solicitation to be issued on or about 4 July 2007. Offers due 30 days later on or about 3 August 2007. 20% of proposed price bid bond guarantee required, and performance and payment bonds required within 10 days after notice of award to successful offeror. Notice to offerors, pricing schedule, Davis-Bacon wage determinations, Statement of Work/Specifications and drawings will be available via www.febizopps.gov using solicitation number 601817R565 under "Clauses and Attachments" when the solicitation is released.
