Description
Office of Acquisition FedBizOpps Notification Date: 06/19/2007 Action (e.g., release of draft RFP, release of final RFP, RFI): Sources Sought Competitive or Single Source Small Business: Competitive The Department of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is seeking to identify potential sources to conduct oversight inspection of operational programs, procedures, and policies for the Federal Air Marshals Service, Federal Security Directors and TSA Headquarters to evaluate the efficiency of operations and their adherence to policy. This requirement is to provide 1 full time contract manager and up to 24 other contractor personnel (as needed) for approximately 30 airports and or Federal Air Marshal Office inspections and approximately 50 internal reviews. Primary disciplines needed are five to fifteen prior federal service dealing with financial crimes and or/contract fraud and or providing protection to people, facilities and or information systems, and skill in report preparation. This will be in effect for a one year based with four one-year options. It is anticipated one single award will result from this procurement. TSA anticipates that this requirement will be conducted as a small business set-aside. To that extent, TSA is attempting to gauge the interest and ability of small businesses in fulfilling this requirement. PLEASE NOTE that response to this sources sought notice is NOT mandatory to be eligible to receive TSA solicitation. However, the response to this notice will help establish TSA set-aside considerations. Interested small businesses are invited to submit a capability statement (not to exceed 3 pages) to TSA for review. These three page capability statements outlining the vendors qualifications and experience with this type of requirement will be evaluated to help gauge interest and ability of the small business community. Please remember that while TSA will evaluate these statements, TSA will NOT be eliminating any company from competition based on the results of these statements. Responses are to be submitted electronically and must be received no later than 12:00 PM, 28 June 2007. Firms desiring consideration shall submit appropriate data as described in this notice.
