- This is Western Area Power Administration's notice to acquire on a sole source basis replacement bushings for GE YT-KV2A1, YT-KV2A2, and YT-KV2A3 and factory repair services. Under the authority for full and open competition of 41 USC 253(c)(1) and FAR 6.302-1, the"Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements", GE Energy Services owns the proprietary rights for replacement parts of GE manufactured equipment. (See attached Sole Source document) YT-KV2A is a GE manufactured (3 each), single phased Autotransformer. The only source for replacement parts is through GE. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes/proposals, however, intereseted parties may identy thier interest and capabilities by submittal of a capability statement which must include enough technical material/information for evaluation to verify they are able to satisfy the Government's requirement without substantial dupliction of cost of unacceptable delay. The capability statements are due to the Contracting Officer no later than June 25, 2007, by close of business (3:30PMMT). A determination by the Goverment not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The applicable NAICS Code is 335311 and the size standard is 250 employees. Information hours are from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm Mountain Time, Monday through Friday.
