- Description
- The USDA, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, (APHIS), National Veterinary Service Laboratory (NVSL), Ames, IA intends to procure 8 Isolators each unit consisting of 2 cages one with drop down pan and the other a wash down model to raise groups of young chickens, turkeys or various water fowl for several weeks or months. The chickens, turkeys, water fowl will be infected with contagious poultry viruses. Each Isolator must allow for servicing of feeding and watering devices on a daily basis and for cleaning of waste (feed and droppings) whenever necessary. If requested, a prototype of two isolators and support rack shall be constructed and approved before the total order is released. Delivery shall be FOB Destination Ames IA arriving by 120 ARO NAICS code 339111. This is a firm fixed price contract. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED/SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation: quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED.
