- The FLIR Recon III LocatIR is a lightweight (6.5 lbs) and portable thermal imaging system. The system has integrated GPS capabilities to track/pinpoint targets. Thermal imaging gives the ability to acquire target locations in low light and adverse weather conditions. The additional accessories include: 2 laser pointers (200mw) option, 2 laser pointers (30mw) option, 2 2.5X extender, 2 serial interface cables, and 2 ethernet cables. Laser will enable other assets to locate targets using NVGs. The extender magnifies images by 2.5X, and the cables will enable images to be uploaded for planning. The Recon III LocatIR enables visibility out to 14KM, this capability is unmatched by other products.
