ID Verification System authenticates identification media by interfacing with the Defense ID system, Federal Data Storage Terminals, the National Criminal Information Center (NCIC), Terrorism Watch list and Immigrations and Naturalizations Service?s data bases. This system allows the entry controller to quickly scan various forms of identification including military ID cards, driver?s licenses and passports. Thus, security is realized at our first line of defense?the Installation?s Entry Control Point. Additionally, the system provides visitor center and contractor badge processing reliable venues to quickly process individuals with enhanced screening against multiple consolidated data bases. This capability greatly reduces (if not completely eliminates) a perpetrators ability to gain access to the installation with fraudulent or stolen identification of any type. Additionally, our contractor/visitor processing center would receive instantaneous feedback on individuals whose names appear on debarment lists; terrorist watch lists; Federal, State or Local be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) lists.
