- Description
- The Monongahela National Forest (managed by the US Forest Service) in Randolph County, WV is advertising a project for chemical site preparation for natural regeneration. The Contractor shall provide all equipment, labor, transportation, supervision, materials and supplies and other incidentals as required in the Schedule of Items, Specifications, Provisions and Clauses of the solicitation necessary to apply herbicide to the specified areas. All work is to comply with Local, State and Federal codes and is subject to Service Contract Act wage rates. The technical point of contact for this project is Glen Juergens, who can be reached at 304-636-1800. The period of contract performance is from August 15, 2007 through September 15, 2007 for the mechanical application line items. Work on the hand application line items must be completed by November 1, 2007. Solicitation AG-3434-S-07-5026 is being issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) and will be awarded as a firm-fixed price contract. The solicitation will be posted on July 2, 2007. This solicitation will ONLY be available electronically at the Federal Business Opportunities (FEDBIZOPPS) website: http://www.fbo.gov/. Copies of the specifications, maps, and wage rates will be uploaded to FEDBIZOPPS along with the solicitation document. This acquisition has been set aside 100% for small business concerns (Numbered Notes 1). All responsible sources may submit a proposal which, if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. Successful offerors are required to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database or award cannot be made. You may register at the CCR website: http://www.ccr.gov/. Proposals will be due no later than 4:30pm local time on July 31, 2007. The Government anticipates award on or about August 10, 2007.
