- This solicitation is currently projected for a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Contact must be made prior to the expiration of this 15-day synopsis. The solicitation will provide the final set-aside determination. This project is located on the Cleveland National Forest and requires a machine that can work on steep slopes to much and grind (masticate) standing brush to a depth of 6 inches or less. Machine needs to be versatile to maneuver around rocks and trees to get to brush fields while working on slopes of 40% or more. Machine should be on a track to reduce ground pressure and soil disturbance. The vegetation is Manzanita (2-5'), Scrub Oak (6-10') and Ceanothus (6-8'). Approximate start date is November 1, 2007. Contract time is 180 calendar days. Government estimate is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. NAICS 115310. SBA Size Standard $6.5 million. Contractors must be registered with Central Contractors Registry BEFORE an award can be made. Registration can be done online @http://www.ccr.gov.
