Description
THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. The Alaska District Corps of Engineers intends to specify proprietary and/or sole source equipment and systems for the Fire Alarm System in the Upgrade Breakers and Power Distribution Project (FTW333), Fort Wainwright, Alaska (FWA). The FWA fire alarm systems are: a proprietary Honeywell supervising station system that utilizes a networked Honeywell EBI as the supervising station control unit. For panels utilizing the Ho neywell system, connections from the fire alarm panel to the Honeywell EBI must also communicate with the supervising station control unit. For communications with the Honeywell EBI supervising station control unit, the fire alarm panel installed and the connections from the fire alarm panel to the supervising station control unit for the Upgrade Breakers and Power Distribution Project must be compatible with and provide intelligent communications with the supervising station, permitting full monitoring and control of all devices from the supervising station and meet applicable National Fire Protection Code and UL listings. THIS NOTICE IS A SOURCES SOUGHT AND NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties should indicate their capability by responding to this notice in the form of a letter or email (preferred) with standard marketing material describing how their equipment or system is compatible with the installed supervising station control units. All submittals received by COB 05 July 2007 will be evaluated by the Government. Based on the responses to this notice, the Government retains the final right o f determining whether to limit the competition for this requirement.
