- The Government is seeking professional design services from an architect-engineering (A/E) firm to develop working drawings and specifications to Upgrade Ventilation on 7N thru 11N at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive Division, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Develop construction contract drawings and specifications to upgrade the ventilation systems on approximately 2,750 square feet of office space on each floor of the North Wings of the Seventh, Eighth, Ninth, Tenth, and Eleventh Floors of Building One at the University Drive Division. This work includes architectural, electrical, mechanical, including HVAC and control replacement, asbestos abatement, monitoring, and site modifications of approximately 15,272 total square feet of office and mechanical space. All designs shall be accomplished in accordance with VA guidelines and specifications, which are available on the Internet at http://www.va.gov/facmgt/standard. The A/E will make site visits as necessary to survey existing conditions as required to determine existing as-built conditions affecting this project. A/E shall field verify every aspect that relates to the project, coordinate visits with the Project Manager. A/E must be proficient in the use of Auto Cad 2007 and have access to Microsoft Word 5.0 or higher. Estimated cost of construction is $2,000,000.00 - $5,000,000.00. Area of consideration is restricted to within sixty (60) miles of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, University Drive Division, Pittsburgh, PA 15240. Those interested firms, both small and large, within the area of consideration shall submit three (3) copies of current SF 330 to the attention of Lynne Dickerhoff, Contracting Officer 04A1-H, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, 7180 Highland Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15206. The NAICS code is 541330 with the small business size standard of $4.5 million. Due date for SF 330's is July 10, 2007 at 2:00pm. This is not a request for proposal. Numbered Note #24.
