- Description
- Provide all labor, equipment, material, tools, and qualified supervision to provide Mental Health Security Upgrades, Project No. 607-07-121MH, at VA Hospital, Madison, Wisconsin. The contractor shall provide labor, materials and equipment to accomplish the following work: Replace 21 existing patient bedroom locksets with 21 VA provided battery operated push button combination locksets fully operational and ready to accept keying; and, install 20 VA provided battery operated push button digital safes in each patient room, all as described within these attached drawings. The contractor shall provide a push button door release for the exterior door to each of four apartments in Building 5. The new locksets are battery operated with a key override cored to the existing hospital keying system (keying will be done by VA). The contractor shall also provide new shelving and supports to anchor new VA provided safes in each patient closet. Visits to the site by Bidders may be made only by appointment with the Medical Center Engineering Project Manager. The VA will render certain technical services during construction. Such services shall be considered as advisory to the Government and shall not be construed as expressing or implying a contractual act of the Government without affirmations by Contracting Officer or his duly authorized representative.
