- Description
- The VA Medical Center, 1 VA Center, Augusta, Maine has a requirement for CHILLER PLANT UPGRADE. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and qualified personnel to provide the following work: BID ITEM I: General Construction - Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, electrical work, temperature control system, utility systems, necessary removal of existing construction, together with incidental and related work. BID ITEM II: Work included under ITEM I above, except delete the five-year warranty on the new chiller as indicated in Section 15650 - Refrigeration Equipment (HVAC), Article 1.4E. BID ITEM III: Work inc. under ITEM I above except delete the new cooling tower from the roof of Bldg. 249 as shown on Drawing M10.2 and specified in Section 15712. This deletion will include the Variable Frequency Drive for this cooling tower. BID ITEM IV: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the installation of the Variable Frequency Drive on existing chiller #1 as indicated on Drawing M10.2 and specified in Section 15050, para 2.4E. BID ITEM V: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the replacement of the intake louvers on the two existing cooling towers as indicated on Drawing M10.2. BID ITEM VI: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the replacement of the fan motors on the two existing cooling towers and the installation of a Variable Frequency Drive for each of these fan motors as indicated on Drawing M10.2. BID ITEM VII: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the installation of a Variable Frequency Drive for each of three Chilled Water Pumps as indicated on Drawing M10.2. BID ITEM VIII: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the installation of a Variable Frequency Drive for each of three Condenser Water Pumps as indicated on Drawing M10.1. BID ITEM IX: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the off-site/factory training for VA Facilities personnel at the Chiller Manufacturer's facility/factory as indicated in Section 15650, 3.3D. BID ITEM X: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the off-site/headquarters training for VA Facilities personnel at the Temperature Control manufacturer's headquarters or factory training facility as indicated in Section 15902, 1.5A,3. BID ITEM XI: Work inc. under ITEM I above, except delete the installation of the electrical metering devices in Bldg. 249 and their interface with the existing Siemens Power Monitoring System and denoted on the electrical drawings. The applicable NAICS Code is 238220 with a size standard of $13 Million and Estimated Price Range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Contract period will be one year from date of award. This acquisition is a Competitive, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business 100% Set-Aside.
