- Description
- The VA Medical Center in Coatesville, Pa. seeks to provide local mammography exams as requested by the VA Medical Center on an as needed basis. Turnaround time for performing routine cases: within forty-eight hours. Turnaround time for performing emergency or STAT cases: same day or next day. Written reports for routine cases will be faxed to the VA contact person within 24 hours of when the case was performed. Written reports for emergency or STAT cases will be dictated and (faxed and/or phoned) to the VA contact person within 12 hours of when the study was performed. STAT and/or emergency cases will be identified as such on the prescription form; for diagnostic mammogram (CPT 77055; 77056); for screening mammogram (CPT 77057). Contractor to provide evidence of appropriate license and liability insurance. Contractor facility must be compliant with mammography quality standards act (MQSA). Breast Ultrasound, to be performed when determined necessary by the contract radiologist; CPT 76645. Breast biopsies and associated pathology report, to be performed when determined medically necessary by the contractor (CPT codes include: 19103; 76095; 76098; 9295; 88305).
