- The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Mt. Weather Emergency Operations Center (MWEOC), Mt. Weather, VA, intends to negotiate with RAE Systems, Inc. for the purchase of one Rapid Deployment Kit (RDK) Gamma-System Package (with CO Carbon Monoxide sensor; 10.6 eV lamp, Wireless (RF) data transmission +GPS 900MHz Monitor and 3-gas (ELE/O2/CO) plus Isobutylene Cal Kit LEL/O2 Combustible and Oxygen); one RAELink2 Remote Package (to include a RAELink2 modem with all required accessories for use with a wireless certified ppbRAE plus, MultiRAE Plus, or MiniRAE2000); one PlumeRAE Software (Primary License); and one PlumeRAE Weatherpak in support of FEMA?s all hazards mission requirement. A market survey has been performed by the Program Office and a determination was made that the RAE Systems RDK offers the best value to the Government and best meets the specific needs of FEMA. The RDK is to be delivered to FEMA in Thomasville, GA. In addition, the RDK is considered to be a commercial item in nature. Interested persons may respond by identifying their capability to provide the required product, to include descriptive literature for their proposed product AND pricing. Responses shall be in writing and sent to the address identified above, ATTN: Mrs. Deborah Foster, or facsimile to 540/542-2631, same ATTN line, or email at the address shown at the conclusion of this announcement. Responses must be received 10 calendar days from date of publication of this announcement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by the date identified above will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
