- The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information (OSTI) intends to award a purchase order on a sole- source basis to EurekAlert American Association for the Advancement of Science, for Department of Energy wide Subscription for the Advancement of Science EurekAlert, uder FAR Part 6.302-1 Only One Responaible Source and No Other Supplies or Sources Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under Far Part 13 will be used. See attached Statement of Work. Firms who want to challenge the sole-source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firms ability to perform duties, and rationale as to why they should be considered, as decribed above. All interested firms must respond by 1:00 p.m. (EST), June 30, 2007, to Henrietta Thompson, U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Scientific and Technical Information, 1 Science.gov Way. Oak Ridge, Tennessee 37830. Fax number 865-576-3589. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considerd solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No reimbursement for any costs connected with providing capability information will be provided by DOE.
