- Description
- The USDA Forest Service Savannah River has a requirement for clearing and grubbing MWMF project site. Located within the boundary of Savannah River Site, this work will consist of on-site disposal of all residual trees, brush, stumps and slash on approximately 27 acres of land. The project site will have all marketable trees harvested prior to the start of this contract. On-site disposal shall be accomplished by one of two methods: 1 ? grinding all woody materials into chips within the clearing limits or 2 ? complete incineration of woody materials with a curtain-wall burner within the clearing limits. Erosion control measures during operations and site grading to natural contour with turf establishment is required. The solicitation will be issued on or around 9 Jul 2007. The estimated construction cost is between $100,0000 and $250,000. The size standard is $13 million under NAICS code 238910. This is an unrestricted solicitation. Savannah River Site is a restricted access Government facility and vehicle searches are done on all vehicles entering the Site. No contraband items, such as guns, ammunition, drugs etc. are allowed on Site. A picture ID of persons entering the Site is required. A minimum of 72 hours is required to process any security badge requests for U.S. Citizens and up to 30 days could be required for non-U.S. citizens. Contractors should pay close attention to the deadlines to submit information required to gain access for site visit included in the solicitation. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings. All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) as prescribed by FAR Clause 52.204-7 and ORCA.
