- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to negotiate a contract on a sole source basis with STV, Inc., of Douglassville, PA to provide the design, manufacture, and installation of Aircraft Launch and Revoery Equipment (ALRE) needed to improve the NAVAIR Test Operational capabilities and bring Lakehurst Test Facilities in line with Naval shipboard equipment. This procurement includes: HSLA-100 certified steel Footstools and Strut Block Clevis, and a Trough Fire Fighting System, along with installation into the EMALS test equipment and foundation. (Removed from this requirement was the Launch Test Vehicle and Jet Blast Deflector upgrade design and fielding.) This effort will take place at the Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) at the System Design and Development (SDD) site (NAWCAD, Lakehurst, NJ). The Navy intends to procure these items under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Firms that believe they can satisfy this requirement are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Navy in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Navy not to open the requirement to competition based upon the response(s) to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Navy. A solicitation is NOT available for this procurement. Responses must be received within 30 days of publication of this notice.
