Description
Services, Non-Personal, Repair: The Contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and all material to accomplish the repair, modification, test, packing and packaging and return to the Government in accordance with the work specifications contained in the contract, the line items of Air Force equipment listed below. A firm fixed price type contract is contemplated. This procurement will be subject to the Service Contract Act (SCA). The item and estimated quantities are as follows: Total Estimated Qty 200 - Base Year - 50 each; Option Year 1 ? 50 each; Option Year 2 - 50 each; Option Year 3 ? 50 each. CLIN 0001 NSN: 6130-01-306-8307HY P/N: 711150-6/16VE374001-6 CLIN 0002 NSN: 6130-01-356-3735HY P/N: 711150-7/16VE374001-7 CLIN 0003 NSN: 6130-01-372-1811HY P/N: 711150-8/16VE374001-8 CLIN 0004 NSN: 6130-01-386-1430HY P/N: 711150-9/16VE374001-9 CLIN 0005 Over and Above CLIN 0006 Data - Applicable to F-16 Destination: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3028. Delivery: 30 Days ARO/ARR. This solicitation is to obtain a four (4) year firm fixed price requirement contract. The work performed under this contract is to repair and modify the Battery charger Control Unit to NSN: 6130-01-486-6660HY; P/N: 713290-2/16VE374003-2 configuration. The work must be accomplished IAW the TOs or OEM procedures listed in Section III, Appendix A, Performance Work Statement. In the event that a situation develops where the instructions conflict, the PWS will take precedence. The work encompasses the disassembly, cleaning, inspection, maintenance, reassembly, testing and finishing actions required to return the items to a serviceable condition with 100% contractor furnished material. The approximate issue of the solicitation date will be: 2 JULY 2007. Approximate award date is: 30 SEPTEMBER 2007. Deliveries are to be at a rate as follows: CLINS 0001 - 0004: 5 Each 180 Days ARO reps and orders. Source: Smiths Aerospace, LLC, 1000 Mac Arthur Memorial Hwy, Bohemia, NY 11716-0999. Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304 (C) (1), Justification: Supplies (or Services) required are available from one or a limited number of responsible source(s) and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one, or a limited number of sources under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirements or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within 45days (30, if award is issued under an existing basic ordering agreement) after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. It is suggested that small business firms or others interested in sub-contracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the firm(s) listed. Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
