- The USDA Forest Service, National Forests in Florida has a requirement for Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantities (IDIQ) of bituminous-coated corrugated metal pipe conforming to AASHTO M36. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This solicitation identified as RFQ AG-4283-S-07-0020 is issued as a Request for Quotations. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and no written solicitation will be issued. DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT: Furnish Bituminous Asphalt-Coated Corrugated Metal Pipe conforming to AASHTO M36, special sections (such as elbows, branch connections, prefabricated flared end sections, and coupling bands) conforming to Section 707. Pipe shall be coated with asphalt material conforming to AASHTO M190 for the type of coating specified. Coat special sections according to AASHTO M190. Coat flared end sections with an asphalt coating forming to AASHTO M190 Type A or a field applied asphalt mastic coating forming to AASHTO M243. Sizes Required: 21 in.x15 in. 0.064 in. thickness 2-2/3x1/2 in. corrugation 28 in.x20 in. 0.064 in. thickness 2-2/3x1/2 in. corrugation 35 in.x24 in. 0.064 in. thickness 2-2/3x1/2 in. corrugation 42 in.x29 in. 0.064 in. thickness 2-2/3x1/2 in. corrugation 57 in.x38 in. 0.079 in. thickness 2-2/3x1/2 in. corrugation 71 in.x47 in. 0.079 in. thickness 2-2/3x1/2 in. corrugation 83 in.x57 in. 0.109 in. thickness 3x1 in. corrugation 83 in.x57 in. 0.109 in. thickness 3x1 in. corrugation with 3:1 mitered end on one side with straight edge on the other end. Coupling bands for each size pipe with corresponding gauge including hardware. Bands shall have corrugations as specified above. No dimpled bands. Price quotes shall be based on linear foot measurements for each size pipe required. DELIVERY: Deliveries shall be made FOB destination to various locations on the Apalachicola National Forest, Leon, Wakulla, Liberty and Franklin Counties, FL; and the Osceola National Forest, Baker and Columbia Counties, FL, on an as-needed basis. Deliveries shall be made beginning upon contract award and no orders will be placed later than September 30, 2008. Exact directions to project locations will be given after award with each delivery order. SUBMISSION OF QUOTES: Submit quotes to the office specified in this Solicitation on or before the exact time specified in the Solicitation. As a minimum, quotes must show: (1) Solicitation No.; (2) Date and time specified for receipt of quotes; (3) name and address of offeror on company business letterhead or form no later than close of business June 28, 2007. Address quote to Attn: Sue Brown, Purchasing Agent, U.S. Forest Service, 325 John Knox Road, Suite F-100, Tallahassee, FL 32303; (4) Price and any discount terms; (5) Remit to address, if different than mailing address; (6) completed copy of the Representations and Certifications at AR 52.212-2; and (7) Acknowledgement of any Solicitation amendments. No faxed or late quotes will be acdepted. Quotes received after due date will be rejected. Provide price quote for each size pipe by linear foot delivered to FOB destination. Quotes will be evaluated based on (1) past performance, (2) price. Delivery orders will be placed on an as-needed basis throughout the contract period. The inital contract period is award date thru September 30, 2007, with optional contract period, at sole discretion of the Government, of October 1, 2007 thru September 30, 2008. More than one contract award may result from this Solicitation with a minimum guarantee of $2,500 to each awardee. No more than $100,000 will be paid to a single awardee within a contract period. Delivery orders will be evaluated on (1) price, (2) availability, and (3) ability to meet delivery requirements at time of need by the Government.
