Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) SP4704-07-Q-1038 This RFQ is for a contractor to provide annual software maintenance and technical support for the Listed BMC Software at the HDI Federal Center in Battle Creek, MI. The apparent successful offeror must be authorized by BMC software to provide the software Maintenance required. Option periods will be reviewed prior to their start date for exercise. Please provide pricing for all periods. Firms not providing pricing for all periods will be considered non-responsive. This procurement is issued under full and open procedures. NAICS code is 511210 and the size standard is $23 Million. The resulting order will be firm-fixed price. Place of performance is considered the Defense Logistics Information Services, HDI Federal Center, 74 Washington Avenue North, Battle Creek, Michigan Brand Name Requirement: BMC software is currently used to monitor unix servers and oracle databases. Maintenance is required to keep software current, maintain software in case of an outage and vendor support. Software Maintenance is much more cost effective than reprocuring new software to monitor the unix servers and oracle databases. The following clauses/provisions are hereby incorporated by reference.
