- Description
- Strategic Systems Programs intends to issue a competitive solicitation for a base (FY 2008) plus four option years (through FY 2012) for technical program support to the Nuclear Weapons Surety and Force Protection Branch (SP-11) to include the following tasks: Analysis, evaluation, and execution of DOD and Navy Nuclear Weapons policy; Nuclear Weapons Surety for TRIDENT SSBNs with Nuclear Weapons installed; Nuclear Weapons Inspections and Monitors; Strategic Weapons Facility Vulnerability Assessment; Fleet Readiness Exercises/Emergency Control and Training; Documentation Maintenance Evaluation and Classification Management; Nuclear Weapon Use Control Policy Analysis; and Execution and Administrative Assistance efforts. The resulting contract will also include a provision which gives the Government the option to increase the level of effort up to thirty percent (30%) over the level of effort provided for in the contract. Performance is scheduled to begin on 01 October 2007 and continue for one year, with four one-year option periods. The Contractor shall have a facility clearance of TOP SECRET. The solicitation (N00030-08-R-0007) will be posted on the Navy Electronic Commerce Online (NECO) web page (www.neco.navy.mil) on or about 30 April 2007. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be mailed.
