- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Region 5, is planning a solicitation to Provide a Restroom Facility at the Long Island National Wildlife Refuge Complex (Morton NWR), Suffolk County, Shirley, NY This solicitation will use a Request for Proposal method as outline in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Parts 15. The ultimate contract award will be based on the best overall value to the goverment with the past performance of interested qualified firms being a major deciding factor. The project consists of providing a restroom building approximately 390 square feet, 1 story, which shall be heated with propane fuel and shall be fully accessible. The restroom building will replace an existing 390 square foot restroom building The work includes demolition and removal of the existing restroom building. The new restroom building shall be constructed at the location of the existing restroom building. The work under this proposed contract also includes coordinating and providing utility service connections for electrical, sewer, and water service with the local utility companies. The estimated magnitude of construction for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The NAICS is 236220. This procurement is unrestricted. This solicitation will be issued on/or about June 29, 2007; with an estimated proposal closing date of on/or about July 31, 2007. All responsive, responsible, offerors with a strong positive past performance history, are invited to participate in the proposal process and will be considered for contract award.
