- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Portland District, CENWP, intends to award a contract for Rehab Intake Gates at Gavins Point Dam Powerhouse, Yankton, South Dakota. This procurement is to disassemble nine tractor-type intake gates, sandblast and paint all steel surfaces, disassemble clean and reinstall roller chains, sandblasting and vinyl paint all of the steel surfaces and reassemble the gates. Prior to work being done in the Gate Repai r Pit, the contractor will be required to upgrade the lighting and ventilation in that repair pit. This work can only be performed during the Spring/Summer/Fall, as the gates can not be removed from their gate slots during the Winter months. Interested b idders will be encouraged to visit the site to obtain any and all specific data required to successfully bid the project. Please contact Curt Bisgard for site visit details at 402-667-2565. The Government anticipates a Firm Fixed Price Contract with a ma gnitude of construction between $1 Million and $5 Million. An Invitation for Bid (IFB) is anticipated to be issued on or about July 16, 2007. Tentative Bid Opening Date is August 15, 2007. This procurement is open to both large and small business conce rns. The solicitation will be available on the FedTeDS website after it is issued. Interested parties must be registered on FedTeDs, www.fedteds.gov to download the solicitation information.
