- The US Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command Acquisition Center (RDECOM AC), Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, is drafting a full and open competition solicitation for The Joint Program Manager Nuclear Biological and Chemical Contamination A voidance (JPM NBC CA), also located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, for an Improved Point Detection System (IPDS) II for use aboard U.S. Navy ships. The solicitation will be for commercially available or modified commercially available items to meet the r equirements of the performance specification for the IPDS II, pursuant to FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Items) contracting procedures in combination with Part 15 (Contracting by Negotiation). Award of two or more Indefinite Quantity/Indefinite De livery (ID/IQ) contracts are contemplated, and these contracts may include requirements for training, system documentation, and logistics tasks. Minimum and maximum quantities are anticipated to be $50,000 and $50,000,000 respectively. Ordering period, c ontract line items, and specific terms and conditions will be defined in the solicitation. A pre-proposal conference will be held for this requirement, on 2 July 2007, in Dahlgren, VA.
