- The South Texas Veterans Health Care System (STVHCS) has a requirement for professional neurosurgical services to be provided to eligible STVHCS beneficiaries in the San Antonio, Texas area at the Southern Arizona Veterans Health Care System located at 7400 Merton Minter Blvd, San Antonio, TX 78229. This requirement is offered under the authority of Public Law 104-262 and 38 USC 8153. Contract period will consist of base year plus (2) one year options for renewal. The Contractor is required to furnish a board-certified or board-eligible physician personnel equivalent to 1.0 FTE to provide direct outpatient care, inpatient and outpatient resident/house staff supervision, and on-call and operating room neurosurgery support. Contracted personnel will provide services to eligible beneficiaries in collaboration with VA employees to include staff neurosurgeon, physician assistants and nursing staff. Services are to be provided as follows: Operating Room: Monday through Friday (0730 - 1800); VA Outpatient Clinic: Monday through Friday (0800 - 1630); attending surgeons' hours are flexible depending on the needs of the patients, and as required for emergencies and on-call. Services shall include professional and technical neurosurgical services IAW Statement of Work and Special Contract Requirements specified in the solicitation. The Government intends to make a single award to the most highly qualified offeror. The procurement shall be conducted IAW FAR 12 commercial item procedures and in conjunction with FAR 15. The NAICS code is 621999 applies. The Government intends to evaluate offers and award a contract without discussions therefore; initial offers should contain the best terms from a price and technical standpoint. The Government reserves the right to conduct discussions if later determined by the Contracting Officer to be necessary. Facsimile and telephonic requests are not acceptable. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. By "Registering to Receive Notification" in FedBizOpps offerors will automatically be electronically notified of any amendments to this solicitation. Offerors are also reminded to ensure all evaluation factors are addressed as outlined in FAR 52.212-2 and registration on www.ccr.gov database is required to be completed prior to award.
