Description
C - Architect/Engineering Services Sources Sought Notice Eural Bennett, Contracting Officer - 414-902-5406 Provide Professional Architectural Engineering Design services to Upgrade the OR-PACU Project 695-228 at the Milwaukee VA Medical Center, Wisconsin. to renovate the existing surgical suite ward and PACU to upgrade the existing surgical suite to current methods of surgical care with respect to patient flow, infection control, materials flow, and support spaces. The surgical department will be designed around a sterile supply core concept, with radiating operating rooms surrounded by a semi-restricted corridor. Scrub sinks will be located on the exterior circulation path available for physicians upon entry into the operating room. Renovation will consist of the establishment of a clean core area approximately (800sf) which, presently does not exist, enlargement of eight surgical rooms approximately (450 sf each), complete renovation of two surgical rooms approximately (600 sf each), modifications to the HVAC system to accommodate the new layout and new VA requirements, and modifications to the surgical intake and surrounding areas as required to accommodate the expansion of the surgical area. All work for this project for the VAMC Building 111, Milwaukee, WI. Construction Period Services and site visits during construction are part of the scope. Estimated construction cost is between $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 90 miles of Milwaukee VA Medical Center, Wisconsin. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business July 13, 2007. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work, (4) Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs, (5) Geographic location and facilities of the working office(s), (6) Demonstrated success in prescribing the use of recovered materials and achieving waste reduction and energy efficiency in facility design and (7) Const control effectiveness. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541330 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
