- C - Architect/Engineering Services Sources Sought Notice Laura Silguero, Contracting Officer - 414-902-5417 Provide Professional Architectural Engineering Design services to Develop a Five Year Landscaping Design at the Edward Hines Jr. VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. This work includes preparation of drawings, specifications and cost estimates for all facets of work and trades necessary to facilitate award of construction contract in order to improve the appearance of the medical center complex. Construction Period Services and site visits during construction are part of the scope. This work shall address new landscape designs, grounds, shrubbery, flower beds, stone bases, tree trimming, tree removals, tree replanting etc. The goal is to have an updated facility appearance in approximately five years. Estimated construction cost is between $250,000 to $500,000. Area of consideration is restricted to 100 miles of the Hines VA Hospital, Hines, Illinois. Submit two (2) copies of SF 330 with appropriate documentation by close of business July 13, 2007. Selection criteria will be based on: (1) specialized experience and technical competence of the firm (including a joint venture or association) with the type of design required, (2) specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project, (3) Professional capacity of the firm in the designated geographic area of the project to perform work, (4) Past record of performance on contracts with the Department of Veterans Affairs, (5) Geographic location and facilities of the working office. The Small Business Standard is $4 million; and the Emerging Small Business size standard is half the size of a Small Business. This requirement is set aside for Emerging Small Business. No bid packages are available. This is not a Request For Proposal (RFP). NAIC #541330 applies. Award is subject to the availability of funds.
