Description

VERY RAPID TURNAROUND SMALL (UNDER $25,000) PROJECT. MUST BE AWARDED AND WORK COMPLETED BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS ON 6/29/07. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, supplies (except those designated as Government-furnished) and incidentals necessary to remove approximately 74 slash piles and 550 stumps off of National Forest System lands. The slash piles and stumps are located immediately adjacent to the North Canyon road (Road # 41045). The slash piles and stumps are located within a 4 mile stretch along the road. This area is located in T17N, R19E, sections 16, 21, 22, 26 and 27, approximately 10 miles North of Carson City, Nevada. Access is via the Mt. Rose highway (state route 431) and Old 395. Figure 1 is a vicinity map and figure 2 is a map of the project area, indicating access points. Due to the very short time frame allowed for this project, and the amount of time normally needed for new vendors to register in the various necessary electronic systems necessary to receive we will only be able to consider quotes from companies already set up in CCR and other necessary Forest Service systems to receive payments via EFT. Quotes may be FAXED. All quotations must be received by the Contracting Officer no later than close of business on June 20, 2007. Evaluation and award will take place on June 21 & 22. Work will commence Monday, June 25th, and must be completed by close of business on Friday June 29th. Quotations offering alternative work schedules will not be considered.
