Description
This is a synopsis of the Pre-Solicitation Notice for a commercial service. This announcement constitutes the synopsis only. The upcoming solicitation will be issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) for commercial items under the Federal Acquistion Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquistion for Commercial Items. A written solicitation will be available on this website on or about 28 February 2007. This procurement is a 100% set aside for small businesses with relevant experience in the Mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) Services. This solicitation document, which will be available on this website, will incorporate provisions and clauses that are in effect through the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price Indefinite Quantity contract using Performance Price Tradeoff Procedures. The NAIC Code for this project is 621512 with a size standard of $12.5 million dollars. This requirement is to procure MRI services for Macdill AFB, Florida. The following information is a brief description of what is will be require, but is not all inclusive. The Contractor shall provide a mobile Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) service as well as MRI technologists and administrative technologists to perform outpatient and inpatient MRI services required for Government beneficiaries. The MRI unit will be located at the 6 Medical Group, also referred to as the medical treatment facility (MTF) herein. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment maintenance, supplies for operation of equipment, all licenses necessary for the operation of the equipment, labor, management, supervision, transportation, teaching, reports, and consultation. Studies shall be as comprehensive as the Government requests and contractor supplied facilities, equipment, and support services permit. Performance shall be according to the requirements contained in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). The quality of services shall meet or exceed currently recognized national standards as established by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the American Medical Association (AMA), Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC), American College of Radiology (ACR), and established principles and ethics of the medical profession. The contractor shall also provide services at alternate locations, for the same prices during equipment downtime or when special patient needs and requirement arises. The Basic Period of Performance is 01 May 2007- 30 September 2007(5 months). There are also three(3)one year option periods (1 Oct through 30 Sep). All interested parties must be registered with the Central Contracting Registration (CCR) as prescribed in DFAR 252.204-7004. CCR can be obtained by accessing the Internet at hhtp://www.ecr.gov or by calling 1-888-227-2423. CCR MUST be obtained before award can be made. The solicitation will be made available only on the Federal Business Opportunities website (http:// www.fedbizopps.gov). Potential offerors are responsible for monitoring Federal Business Opportunities for solicitation posting and changes. Once contractors have received the full solicitation package, submit offers in accordance with the proposal preparation and submission instructions with the solicitation.
