- The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract on a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) basis to Kollmorgen Electro-Optical Division of Danaher Corporation, 347 King Street, Northampton, MA 01060-2390. The requirement is for the fabrication, assembly, and test of the AN/BVS-1 VA CLASS Photonics Mast Variant (PMV) Major Shore Spares in support of the Photonic Mast Program (PMP). This procurement would modify Photonics Mast Contract N00024-06-C-6248 to add two (2) PMV spares for the SSGN. The anticipated contract award will consist of base effort for the procurement of one PMV spare in FY07 and an option for the remaining spares in FY08. The PMP System is an electro-optical replacement for conventional periscopes. Kollmorgen Corporation is the current developer, and is the only responsible source.
