Description
The Sacramento District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has an upcoming project for the design-build, addition/alteration to an existing two story Hydraulic Flight Control Facility at Hill AFB UT. Work consists of north side addition of approxim ately 929 Square Meters (SM) per floor and demolition of approximately 2,778 SM. Project scope includes but is not limited to: providing repair shops, test areas, LEAN cells, admin space and training areas. The design-build project includes development of design deliverables for review (1 submittal track plus back check processes), fire-protection/life safety systems, handicapped accessibility (if applicable), EMCS, HVAC, all necessary conduits and cabling (including exterior COMM cabling), plumbing., me chanical systems, IDS, interior utilities, interior/exterior finishes, accesses around the structures, signage and all necessary features (interior and exterior) to yield a safe, complete, and useable facility/complex for its intended use. The estimated m agnitude of construction is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 236210, with a Small Business Administration Size Standard of $31,000,000.00. This announcement serves only as market survey/sources sought in order to determine the availability of small business concerns. PROPOSALS ARE NOT BEING REQUESTED AT THIS TIME. Responses are being sought from qualified 8(a), HUBZone and Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business concerns possessing the technical expertis e and bonding capability to execute the work requirements. ALL WORK WILL BE PERFORMED WHILE THE BUILDING CONTINUES NORMAL OPERATIONS. Interested contractors must submit the following information as verifiable experience (1) Proof of available bonding cap acity in the amount of at least $8,000,000. Documentation must be in the form of a statement from the Contractors bonding company; (2) Verifiable evidence of experience of performing repairs/renovations to a operational facility without interrupting the facilities continued operations; and (3) How you will manage work in accordance with FAR 52.219-14(b)(3), Limitation on Sub-Contracting: General Construction. The concern will perform at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials.
