For technical questions contact Stan Kinmonth at 912-652-5276. THIS PROJECT IS SET-ASIDE FOR 8(a) FIRMS. Any prospective 8(a) off eror interested in proposing for this solicitation may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the Internet site at www.fedteds.gov after solicitation issuance. Description of work: Contractor shall install a new static frequency co nverter system for four reversible pump storage units and install new SF6 main circuit breakers on all eight units in the powerhouse. All major equipment components are Government furnished, except incidental equipment and components that are to be provid ed in this contract. All Government furnished equipment is currently in storage at the project. Contractor will be required to remove and dispose of all old equipment that is replaced. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. The contract will be s olicited and procured using a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) Request for Proposals (RFP) in accordance with FAR Part 15.101. Offerors are required to submit a price and technical proposal. Award will be made to an Offeror whose technical submit tal and price proposal contain the combination of the criteria requested that offer the best value to the Government. The technical proposal will be evaluated using the following factors: Factor 1: Offeror Past Performance and Factor 2: Corporate Relevant Specialized Experience. Examples of Corporate Relevant Specialized experience: (1) At least 3 years experience installing SF6 breakers rated 13.8kV or higher. (2) At least 3 satisfactorily completed projects of similar work. (3) Experience working in a n operating power generation facility. The magnitude of the project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Options may be included. This solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will be available on or about 19 June 2007 on the Internet a t www.fedteds.gov . Proposals will be due on or about 19 July 2007. Notification of amendments will be through use of the Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided. It is the offerors responsibility to check the I nternet at www.fedteds.gov for any posted changes or amendments to this solicitation.
