Description

The TACOM LCMC is seeking potential sources of supply to produce and field the crawler-mounted, bituminous material, paving machine. The purpose of this announcement is to provide offerors advance notification of our intention to procure the Paving Machine and identify interested offerors. A Purchase Description (PD) and a Market Investigation Questionnaire has been posted to the TACOM LCMC Warren Contracting Business Opportunities website at http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/comveh/bmpm/bmpm.htm W e invite industry to respond to the Market Investigation Questionnaire by June 29, 2007. The Paving Machine shall consist essentially of a receiving hopper, spreader, compaction unit, a screed with the capability of being extended, and cutoff shoes. The Paver shall be self-propelled and crawler mounted with an 8-foot basic paving witch and sh all lay, compact and finish bituminous concrete strips, 6 feet to 16 feet wide. The operational requirements are listed in the Purchase Description located on the website above. The estimated timeframe for release of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is approximately June 2008. Our intention is to procure approximately 21 paving machines on a firm fixed price basis.
